Gulfstream G400 completes first flight

The prototype Gulfstream G400 completed its maiden flight from Savannah, Georgia on 15 August. The all new jet, which used a blend of SAF for its historic flight, is a shortened version of the popular G500 and is designed to accommodate 9 to 12 passengers depending on floorplan. Powered by a pair of P&WC PW812GA engines, the jet reached Mach .85 and 41,000ft during its 3 hour flight. Certification is expected in 2025.​
