In Aero France, June 1957 issue, a Goodyear patent for a kind of inflatable VTOL aircraft is
shown, or better, a VTOL aircraft with inflatable wings, a technology, Goodyear was already
well known for.
Hi!
This fighter's landing gear design is very impressive.
Unfortunately this model does not show the design of interesting landing gear. Please check Jared-san's amazing book.
You can see this fighter's remarkable ability to take off and landing both vertically and horizontally.
Two unfortunates: First Lindenbaums' files at Wright U consisst of full reports or as in this case, several pages and illustrations pulled from a report and put in a folder, leaving the reader wanting for more. Second, when Lockheed procured Goodyear aerospace they gleaned the historical records throwing a majority away and giving the rest to the local University. They do have a complete inventory but it is a very big disappointment.
