Picture 1 shows a hydrofoil torpedo boat, picture 2 shows a Sikorsky Ilya Muromets modified as a torpedo bomber. From what I understand of the accompanying text, the designer was a distant relative of Field Marshall Mikhail Kutuzov of Battle of Borodino fame. Very interesting find from any point of view.
