German V-101 missile and an 'Integral Calculus Machine'

I've read about both but resources are minimal, would like to know what other resources are available and if any examples were recovered. Both appear to have been researched if not tested near Pribram, Czechia.

 
I think there are no reliable sources for the V 101... There's Larsson's postwar statement (below) - one just has to have in mind, his stories are very unreliable and quoted data make often absolutely no sense at all (one can wonder, if it were his or translator's mistakes).

The V 101 is sometimes described (Hahn? Stevens? - I cannot remember), as being solid fuelled - what is completely impossible for a 140 t rocket containing 100 t of fuel, this ratio is rather appropriate for liquid fuel.

A highly biased, incredibly bad article. That said, the V 101, or a missile like it, was in preparation for a launch against the United States. Mayor La Guardia made a reference to the threat in a New York Times article published during the war. The Bohemia-Moravia Protectorate has very little published history in English. The Skoda Works is the subject of a number of British intelligence reports.

To say that Peenemunde was "overrun" by the Russians is pure nonsense. The Americans, with some British assistance, recovered intact V-2 rockets and parts for a total of 100 complete rockets. Photos exist of German fueling vehicles repainted in olive drab in the United States. So, after plundering what was to become the Russian Zone of occupation, the Russians got whatever was left along with some personnnel. See Stalins V-2 by Matthias Uhl, published by Bernard & Graefe.

As more records are declassified, it will be possible to fully understand the situation in Czechoslovakia as the war drew to a close. How SS troops fought off Czech "civilians" as they retreated and how and why Me 262 jets were deployed against a "spontaneous" uprising.

A9 a10 a11 : paper project but works as a 3 stage ICBM.

solid- fuel from germany to new york ? this is Polaris or Minuteman performance. In nazi germany 1944 ? bollocks.
It took an Apollo like effort to the US military to build Polaris and Minuteman with 1960 tech level. 1944 ? forget it.

Or simply ask some Czech. This is not the best place for discusing it, but there's not that much mystery about the Prague uprising.


V-101 was according to Henry Stevens a three-stage, solid fuel rocked, with THRUST 100 tons (not the amount of fuel). Range 1800 km, altitude 200 km. Designed by Dr. Büdewald and Dr. Teichmann at Skoda together with the SS group led by Hans Kammler. Length 30,26 m, width 2,82 m, weight 146 tons.

Fortunately, bits of information have been declassified. CIOS Report XXXII-125 German Guided Missile Research, indicates German ICBMs had been built. Appendix 1 states "Only the A-15 was never constructed." The Franklin Delano Roosevelt Library declassified a memo to the President from Admiral Leahy about "Possibility of V-3 stratospheric bomb attack on U.S...." It was dated December 9, 1944. The situation in Czechoslovakia was complicated by the fact that it was now under Russian control. The names and locations of various facilities are incomplete. For example, arrangements were made to visit C.S.R. Zbrojovka at Brno (Moravia). However, an escort by the Czech Secret Police (O.B.Z.) was required. Further investigation there revealed German scientists still working on other projects under Czech supervision, for the Russians, including the V-4. (NARA, College Park, Maryland. Record Group 38, Chief of Naval Operations, Intelligence Division. Top Secret Reports of Naval Attaches 1944-1947. Box 9, Report on visit to Czechoslovakia, 11, February 1946, S. 3.)

The person dispatched by the U.S. Navy was denied a copy of the program by the Czech Secret Police.
 
Has anyone seen this CIOS XXXII-125 report in real life?
I remember, there was a certain BIOS or CIOS etc. report quoted quite frequently when development of German advanced weapons was discussed, but when someone managed eventually to find actual topic of this report, it had nothing to do with these weapons and all information "coming" from this report was a hoax.
And one has also to have in mind, such a reports quite often rely on interrogation of POWs or other witnesses and their credibility can be not too high.

Some info about the Příbram facility:
In early 1944 started the unification of the development and research of the Waffen-Union Škoda Brunn holding, for which were used the facilities of the Vysoká škola báňská (Mining College; closed in 1939 along with all other Czech Colleges) at Příbram (Pribrans in German). Personnel came from both Škoda Werke and Zbrojovka Brno, machining equipment from the bombed out ZB factories in Kuřim and Brno-Líšeň. The SS-Waffenamt chosed Hauptsturmführer Rolf Engel as the technical director. Work concentrated on the development of 15 cm R.Drm, 5,5 cm R. Orkan, 8 cm R. Panzerblitz rockets and for adaptation of 10 cm R. Taifun rockets for series production. Construction of the shooting range intended for testing of the rockets started in Brdy military area near Prague.

Thank you Aubi. Only recently has information been published about a cache of documents hidden by the Germans and located by the Americans in Czechoslovakia. In an article published by NARA titled Mission to Stechovice, the post-war operation is described. Of course, the Czech government was not informed until after the Americans had photographed the documents, and then returned the originals.

Hi, I'm from Czech Republic. Recently, our excellent researcher Jaroslav Mareš discovered written evidence that at the end of the war, the Nazis developed a very high-quality solid fuel, the quality of which the Americans did not reach until the end of the 60s.
I recommend his captivating book Štěchovice the end of legends.
 
Yes of course according to the given data it seems impossible for the technical advances achievable for the time but our purpose is to relate writings which are subject to evaluations of scientific and historical veracity so until then everyone speculates without having right or wrong.
