Does anyone have any detailed drawings showing how the radiator assembly bolted on to the front of the engine block for the Fw-190D and/or Ta-152 aircraft ? And how the mechanism for opening and closing the radiator flaps functioned. Please don't say the Jerry Crandall books, its incorrect. I believe it's a internal-ring set on rollers inside a outer ring housing at the back of the assembly. The internal ring has rods attached at fixed positions, that are allowed to move as the ring rotates. The rods running through slots in the outer ring housing, are in turn attached to the cowl flaps. A worm gear rotates the internal ring either way, thus opening or closing the flaps. The worm gear is attached to a small electric motor coupled to an engine thermostat sensor for automatic control, or can be manually rotated from the cockpit. - I think. Note, the cowl flaps when closed cover over the exterior ring housing.

- Thanks
