It was replaced with a PWR in a 1958 to 1960 major refit, and the plant disposed of in deep water after being defuelled. SEAWOLF's reactor accounts for more than one-third of the total radioactive waste disposed of at sea by the United States.Although, given that Switzerland is well ahead of the US in that dubious league table, I'm not sure how informative that is.
