Back on track I think. Not sure if my computer is firing on all cylinders but it seems to be working...enough for this work in progress. Spent a few hours on it today...probably finish it tomorrow.

Wow. Brilliant as usual. You rock, prolific!

Thank you kind sirs. I will be honest...I don't look forward to going back and making the top, bottom, front, and backs of all these planes I'm making. Hahaha. ::)

Glamour girl with tattoo. ;D

Prolific,

That is seriously beautiful work.

Just as an aside, back in the early 1970's the forward fuselage of what I believe to be Air Vehicle 1 used to sit in the weeds on the departure end of 18L at John Wayne Airport in California. I think Tallmantz probably owned it. Does anyone know if this is the aircraft now at the Pima Air Museum in Arizona?

Even to a 10 year old, ejection looked dicey...

I can give you very detailed Fairy F155T drawings if you wish to do that after - its a monster, will fit the theme nicely :)

Yes, that was the number one aircraft, 55-5118, marked as 55-5120. I guess I wasn't the only one poking around it!

It had been stored at Norton AFB in the early 1960s, before going on display at the south lot at Tallmantz. That land was sold (to have a hangar built) and that part of the collection were dispersed. The Snark went to the National Atomic Museum in Albuquerque. I think that the early production F-101A was scrapped as well as one or two Vampires which had advanced wood rot from outdoor exposure. You must have seen the F-107 in the summer when Bill Simone was disassembling it. From SNA, the aircraft went (in pieces) to the back lot at the North American Rockwell salvage store near LAX, and then back to Air Force custody and finally to Pima.

excellent stuff, and like the new
typeface...

cheers,
Robin.
