Floats equipped jet fighter projects

This thread only concerns float-equipped jets projects.
Have there ever been any real project to convert first-generation jet fighters into floatplanes ?
A bit like the A6M2-N "Rufe", Spitfire floatplanes & Loire 210.
But with F-80, Panther, Ouragan or Yak-23 ?
Like the fictious "Requin" seaplane of E.P. Jacob.

Have there ever been any project to convert first-generation jet fighters into floatplanes ?

Problem is, floats are heavy & create a lot of drag. The only viable concept is essentially the concept with central float, that could be lifted up to hull - but the mechanism required would add even more weight. So most ideas turned toward flying boats, which are more... weight-rational.

In an old issue of Air Trails from just after WW II, there was a sketch of a flying boat fighter that looked like a Grumman Panther with tip floats and a single centerline float with a swept connecting fairing. It looked to take a modest inspiration from a Grumman Duck (but no retractable landing gear).

There is no mention of a Douglas Skyrocket on floats in that thread. One reply makes a size comparison of a Boeing design (proposed flying boat, not a floatplane) with a Douglas F3D Skyknight. The F3D is a landplane.
