There are real world FAL conversions to 7.92x33 kurtz (albeit, not by FN). As Scott says, the magazine angles forward.

There are weapons with rearward-sloping magazines. One example was the Czech SA vz.23 submachine gun (which inspired the Uzi). And might I suggest that, as a Central European design, the vz.23 makes a better basis for an "uzi analog" for your Kaiserreich world than the overly short H&S MP81 (at least for military applications).

Another thought is that you need to have a bit more evolution from the RW 7.92x33 kurtz to your ATL 4.73x33 kurtz. I presume that your G11 analogue fires caseless rounds. I'm guessing that such an evolution would have seen an intermediate design - basically a more conventional-looking rifle (eg: HK33) firing caseless.
