It's the Fairey Primer, originally flown as the Tipsy type M in Belgium in 1939,
then transferred to Britain and taken over by Faireys. Two more built in 1948.

Thanks too, Toura, that's one i haven't seen before.
A little more. Designed by E.O.Tips, and built by Avions Fairey, to
take part in a competition for ab initio trainers in Belgium.
Acoording to the legend, after the war had broken out, but before
Belgium was invaded, the prototype was dismantled, and shipped
secretly to England.
in any event, it was flying in late 1940/1941, before being dismantled
and stored.
After the war, it was returned to Belgium for minor modification work,
before returning again to England in 1947, the intention being to offer
the type for production under licence.
In early 1948, it was assessed by the A & AEE before being dismantled
again, so that drawings could be made; the originals had been destroyed
in 1940 in Belgium.
Some of the prototype parts, and the engine, were used in the first production
aircraft. The second aircraft was evaluated against the DHC-1 Chipmunk.
No more were built.
