This is a patent issued to Fairey Aviation in 1933 for a novel form of monoplane wing, GB430331. The inventor was Davis Hollis Williams, a senior member of Marcel Lobelle's design team.
The illustrations show all the hallmarks of a full concept design as they include many details not relevant to the patent. I suggest that the aircraft design had its origin in the company's work on fighter specification F.7/30 which placed a good view for the pilot as a high priority, which is the key feature of the patent.

That is a very nice find, it's always interesting to find the offshoots of something that is fairly well known already.

What would the aerodynamic advantages be of that arched inner section? The nearly horizontal additional bracing beneath it doesn't inspire confidence as too its structural strength
Is it essentially a variant of the gull-wing?

There wouldn't be any, I think, but the pilots downward view would be much improved, as
suggested by the side view.
