Sniper is a profession has received professional training in special forces and is responsible for special missions. It hides in concealed and open areas,they uses precise light weapons to carry out long-range destruction and assassination of special targets or important individuals. Snipers can kill enemy soldiers, field commanders, and RPG rocket propelled grenade shooters from a long distance. In fact, shooting enemy personnel only accounts for a part of a sniper's mission, enemy vehicles, helicopters, communication facilities, oil tanks, water towers, etc. are more important targets for sniping.

The L96A1 sniper rifle from UK was designed in 1982 and put into use in 1990. This sniper rifle weighs 6.19 kilograms and 1184 millimeters long. The muzzle velocity is 850 meters per second. The effective range is 1100 meters. Its magazine can hold 5 rounds of 7.62 NATO caliber bullets.

But today snipers be confronted with more threat on the battle field , especially in the Russian-Ukraine war, Because both sides have a large of heavy weapons, especially Russian have more,
This poses a serious threat to the survival of snipers. Let's take a look at which types of weapons can easily find and kill snipers.

The weapon threatening the survival of snipers on the battlefield Number 1: armed helicopter or call gunship.

For example: AH-64 Apache helicopter of the United States and Russian Mi-24 female deer helicopter

Of course, bombing planes and fighters can also kill snipers, such as B52 bombers and F16 fighters. But no military is going to use these planes specifically to take out snipers.

Laser radar is a radar system which transmits laser beam to detect the target's position, speed and other characteristic . Its working principle is to emit a detection signal (laser beam) to the target, then the received signal reflected back from the target (target echo) is compared with the transmitted signal, after processing, the relevant information of the target can be obtained, such as the target distance, orientation, height, speed, attitude, and even shape parameters.
Thus, aircraft, missiles and other targets can be detected, tracked and identified. It is composed of a laser transmitter, an optical receiver, a turntable and an information processing system, etc.
The laser transmits the electrical pulse into an optical pulse, and the optical receiver restores the optical pulse reflected back from the target into an electrical pulse and sends it to the display.

Usually, the volume of microwave radar is huge, the mass of the whole system is several tons, and the aperture of the optical antenna is several meters or tens of meters. The laser radar is lights, the aperture of the launching telescope is only centimeters, the mass of the whole system is only tens of kilograms,.

The laser scanning method to obtain 3D geographic information, and the data obtained through this way is also widely used in resource exploration, urban planning, agricultural development, water conservancy engineering, land use.

Beside the defense lines of UKRAINE battle field, both the Russian frontier troops and Ukraine troops dig a lot of trench ,shelters and underground tunnels. If you want win this war, your soldiers have to capture these trench and underground tunnels.

If the “Mars Rover” meet a Russian soldier, I am sure “Mars rover” is a pacifist, it has no arms. The only weapon it own there are four tear shells, the vehicle drop a tear shell,turn back and flee away.

What do you mean with that expression "AH64 gunship and mi24 female deer helicopter"?
 
I would not want to be a dude in a field (or anywhere really) with modern thermal sensors and persistent surveillance. Scary.
