My first thought was back to the so called mysterious f-18 lacking a cockpit from Tyler's blog that was nothing more than a rcs model. No date. No location. Its probably an rcs model of something. If it were a black project it wouldn't be outside like that. It doesn't look like anything that could actually fly very well

This RCS model has been visible and a topic of forum discussions for at least a couple of years.

I know that place well, it is not in a restricted area. I learned to fly right next door in North County.

if look down runway there pool were RCS model are put on
north of "Diamond" is another on in grass

That's why this thread popped up, it is next to the Sikorsky flight test facility where the S-97 Raider had a rough landing there this week (mentioned here: http://www.secretprojects.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,22916.255.html and on Pprune here http://www.pprune.org/rotorheads/524130-s97-raider-17.html where someone asked about the RCS facility nearby).
