OK don't laugh at me (unless you really have to :) but is that an arrestor hook between the fuselages of the DFS 332?

In fact, the DFS 332 wasn't intended as an assault or transport glider, but as a
flying aerodynamical laboratory. The AOA of the wing between the twin fuselages
could be changed in flight electrically and three different wing elements were built.
The aircraft was instrumented for measurements of air pressure and the "pitot tube"
at the trailing edge (actually called "Impulsrechen"/ impuls rake) surfed this purpose,
too. The "Sondertriebwerk" (Walter HWK-R II rocket engine) was installed to allow
speeds of up to 500 km/h to be kept for some time during measuring flights. two aircraft
were ordered an partially constructed, but never finished.

Interesting to see, that the draftsman went without the tail on the frontal view !
Maybe he somewhat misestimated the drawings arrangement and had to eschew
the tail, or maybe it was just forgotten. It's nothing, that could lead to a misinterpretation,
but it's an example, that even original manufacturers drawings not necessarily are
perfect !

They were not perfect of course, but some of them were really neat. Look at this other DFS 322 drawing. How cool is that?
