In 1962 DB showed the prototype of a turboprop engine with 1000 hp, designated as PTL-6, later changed to
DB-720. The program was dropped after about 57 hours fligt testing, using a modified Bell UH-1D. By replacing
the reduction gear with an axial compressor stage, it became the ZTL-6, later DB-730, another project was the
PTL-10 (DB-721), a turboprop engine with 2200 hp.

I really miss a good book on Daimler-Benz`s ventures in aero engines, particularly from the 1920S to 1945 :'( .
