Hey, at least my ship was finished.
Still, seeing this event brings back so many memories of when my shipmates and I commissioned the Truman in 1998. Lucky for me, my local cable provider carries the Pentagon Channel, so I got to see the commissioning ceremony in it's entirety. But seeing Norfolk base in the background and the old carrier pier again just made me nostalgic for old times.
