Now that the two Koreas have succeeded in getting their own satellites into orbit, Brazil is now the only country left in the world that has yet to launch a satellite into orbit despite several launch attempts. However, Cuba may beat Brazil in the Latin American space race by launching a satellite that can beam patriotic music back to earth. The first satellite that Cuba might attempt to launch would broadcast the patriotic hymns "Melody of Comrade Fidel Castro", "Melody of Comrade Raul Castro", and "Melody of Comrade Jose Marti", just as the North Korean satellite Kwangmyongsong-1 was designed to beam back propaganda songs praising the Kim dynasty and Dong Fang Hong 1 broadcast the song "The East is Red". Such a feat would give Cuba an opportunity to further reinforce its image as a 21st century country because the island nation has been engaged in free-market reforms since 2010 to shed off its old model of Soviet communism.
