The latest is USS Parche. Lots of back-and-forth, lots of opinions and hints.I think that this is as close as you'll find anywhere unclassified.

Damn impressive. That it was done with MS Paint makes it doubly so.
 
Very impressive, hadn't realised you were using Paint for your cutaway drawings.

Try paint.net - basically a freebie version of photoshop - but a lot shallower learning curve...
 
Paint.NET is very nice, and is often profiled as a showcase for c# programming.

But apparently the next Window 10 update in 2017 will include a new overhauled MSpaint with new capabilities...

Bit of a thread bump...

Regarding Borei-A, you've suggested that it might be lengthened based on satellite imagery.


I'm not so sure anymore, the boat you identify as K-535 (i.e. one of the initial series) and use as a yardstick to measure K-549, in fact looks a lot like another image of K-549 to me. What first made me suspect this was the very narrow width of the rudder shadow, better matching K-549's all-moving surface than the broader conventional rudder in the earlier boats, but there's an even more compelling clue. While the initial subs have their missile tubes separated fore-aft into two groups of 8, K-549 lacks the small gap - as does the boat with open hatches which you're assuming to be K-535.

So it's not clear that Borei-A is longer than the earlier series.
 
Be very careful about "free" painting or drawing programs, especially those that allow you to work online. One has a 'terms of use' that tells the user that anything you draw becomes the property of that site.
