My inner eight-year-old thanks you from the bottom of his little airplane-loving heart.

I note no tail gun on later models. Retrograde step, IMO, but that's Convair's problem. What were the engines on the twin models - cribbed from a Blackbird, or something?

BTW the engines were the same of SR-71, arranged in different nacelles.
