The Colgate-Larsen Aircraft Co. never built their own aircraft, they just manufactured airplane parts. However, they did have an aircraft project on the side, the CL-15, as beautifully evidenced by these photos, found on http://www.shu-aero.com/ (a real gold mine for vintage aircraft). This slender and elegant amphibian was to be powered by a 200 hp Ranger 6-440 engine.
The "Colgate" in the company's name was Gil Colgate, great-grandson of the founder of the Colgate-Palmolive Company, while "Larsen" is of course a better known name in aviation for the Spencer-Larsen series of seaplanes such as the SL-12C (the CL-15 bears a lot of commonalities with the Spencer-Larsen designs).
