I must : at myself; I've been confused for a month about the dates for HMS Ark Royal, but now I realised that I must have confused the HMS Ark Royal (91) that was ordered 1934 and sunk 1941 with the HMS Ark Royal (R09) that was ordered mid-42 and decommissioned 1978.Anyone knows when Royal Navy started with the policy/tradition of "reincarnating" ships' names, and if there was a rationale for it? ???
