Sorry, but You have have to keep in mind the timeline of each project !The J-10 has its roots in a fighter project called J-9 which ran in parallel to the J-8 and finally failed ... some sources state that the final iteration of this bird was later influenced also by the IAI Lavi, but I don't agree with that (even if I don't deny a close cooperation between Chian and Israel maybe here).
