I fed the part of "Chatting about papers and research abilities/论文和科研能力的闲聊" after the "/" to google, guessed it to be in Chinese (traditional).
It translated to "A chat about papers and scientific research capabilities"

Some of this site's visitors use machine-translation to read it, probably helped by the fact nearly all discussions here are in one language: English.
Sometimes this becomes visible when users forget to machine-translate their contributions from their native language to English. This is happening more and more, to my chagrin.
I would be seriously unhappy if this single-language site would turn into a multilingual site. I can read a few of the European languages, but Finnish, Hungarian, all the Slavic languages, are far beyond me. Or the rest of the world's languages.
Thread-titles in other languages than English would be, in my view, a step to this site becoming a multilingual site. Today, machine-translation can translate whole sites from one language to another provided a site is indeed in one language.

In short, I would like users to continue contributing exclusively in English, including in subject titles.

Firstly, there’d be comparisons made between the alloy formula and other similar alloy - both in overall composition and what the alloy elements on their own usually add to the properties of an alloy.

If they generally make sense, nowadays there’d be some computational metallurgical study done to see if the alloy could have some exceptional properties.

Experimenting with all conceivable properties is something best left to computers. Papers should only result of something interesting is shown.

If the alloy formula seems legitimate, then the difficult part of finding out how to produce it starts, which depending on the properties could be a difficult process.
