reports state the system was delivered for ioc. in 2012 but since then I have not see anything further in the open press re. images of the system (im guessing ro-ro 'boxes' ?) or of which airframe has been seconded for modification for use with the system ? has anyone out there on the forum come across (or seen) anything further ?

The first of the new aircraft for military search and rescue teams at 19 Wing in Comox, BC, are expected to be ready to fly early this year. The RCAF expects the new Airbus CC-295 Kingfishers to reach initial operational capacity early this year.
The fixed-wing Kingfishers will replace older Buffalo and Hercules aircraft at four Wings across Canada. The Department of Defence says they will be capable of locating people or objects — such as downed aircraft — from more than 40km.
A training centre with simulator has already been built at 19 Wing in Comox. There are currently five examples of the CC-295 flying out of Comox, on the west coast of Canada and 100 miles from Vancouver. Crews have been training with there since 2022.
