A Douglas technician familiarizes President Kennedy with the XG-17 "Strange Angel" high altitude glider, here seen mated to an Atria launch vehicle at Cape Canaveral in 1962.
In reality, a modified Estes Shuttle Xpress with a dimestore glider mated to it. This project was given the green light after I lost the original gliders. Unfortunately the replacement fell like a separated nosecone, but at least I got a decent picture out of it.
