Sorry, but it wouldn't work.
That sketch looks like Blue Streak with a capsule on top, and Blue Streak wasn't capable of putting anything in orbit. Even with a Black Knight derived second stage, it could put only about a ton in orbit - nowhere near enough for a manned capsule.
