Interesting you say this, watching Deutschland 83 ..if its close to how life on both sides of the border are, and from a Bundeswehr side during the height of the cold war. We have seen how life is from both our UK ( iam raised and grew up 1970s/1980s) and from US mil viewpoint ...I gather from the tv series however fictional, depicts West Germans questioning themselves both in the military and civilian life about how things run...cheers
