Dear Boys and Girls, here is an article in French announcing the development of the Bréguet Br.765 Super Deux-Ponts which is an enlarged and pressurised derivative of the well-known Bréguet. Br.760/761S/763 Deux-Ponts/Provence series......

The Bréguet Br.765 Super Deux-Ponts was not built and remained a "project". It would have featured a new double-bubble pressurised fuselage wide enough to take 6 abreast tourist class seating on the upper deck and would have been powered by Pratt & Whitney Wasp Major engines or Curtiss-Wright Turbo-Cyclone turboprops. The side profile drawing shows three ingenious ventral access points to the pressurised cabin......

This "project" should not be confused with the Bréguet Br.765 Deux-Ponts which used the same model number and was the later and standard military airlift version of the Bréguet Br.763 Provence supplied to the Armée de l'Air......

Indeed I always liked the Br.765 (the actual one), it was a kinda of "ante litteram" C-5 Galaxy for militar purposes and A 380 for civil purposes.
Probably its most famous concurrent was the Boeing 377 Stratocruiser.
