Not sure, but Tony Buttler's book British Secret Projects: Fighters & Bombers 1935-1950 offers info on a Fairey four-engine heavy bomber submission to the B.1/39 requirement. The wingspan of the Fairey submission was somewhat larger than that of the FC.1, and it's possible that that Fairey may have used the FC.1 as the basis of its bomber design for the B.1/39 specification requirement.
