Seller's description:
his advanced design prototype experimental high-wing monoplane fighter was shipped by rail to Wright Field where it made its first flight 18 NOV 1930. This is an early photo of the AC28-386 aircraft before its vertical tail/rudder was enlarged. The photo is dated 8-14-1930, bears the BOEING stamp on the reverse, and is accompanied by the original news release/caption. An original vintage black and white 8 X 10 photograph in perfect condition. This photo, like most of the 4000+ manufacturer, national archives, Air Corps, USAAF, USN, USMC and USCG aviation photos in my collection, came from author and pre-WWII USMC Col. Robert Rankin in the early seventies. Col. Rankin acquired them in his research for various aviation articles from the thirties through the fifties.
