Maybe related to the Blended Wing-Body studies? The v-shaped section notched out of the aft end might limit the length of the escape routes for passengers.

I don't understand this - a high subsonic spanloader??? That is quite a thick inner wingelage considering the amount of sweep on the outer wings! Or are they swept for stability reasons (re:'taillessness')?
