Boeing Joint Air-Breathing Multi-Role Missile (JABMM)

Difficult to tell what the point of it would be without knowing it's size. :-\
 
The article hints at a strike weapon to be able to fit inside the F-35, don't know those dimensions offhand.
 
Add this missile along with Evolved Sea-Sparrow capability to make LCS into a useful warship. Toothless car-ferries otherwise.

Even if this missile is ever fielded, the LCS remains vastly expensive for what we get.

Any idea what this project's current status is?
 
If I'm not mistaken, from left to right we have air launched, ground launched, and sea launched. To confuse things, the Aviation Week art shows the air launched version being ground launched!

It either went black or died, almost certainly the latter given that NSM has been selected for the AShM role on LCS.
 
None of the above. It was a Boeing initiative and seems to have died out in 2016-17.
