I will tell you a small secret. it is very hard to impress russkies with small helicopters, as they even don`t consider choppers without wheels to be choppers of serious matter. Well mannered companies try to build with retractable landing gears, that is a nice technology etiquette, as to using bars, it is the same as using drum brakes, they work, but don`t impress. Solid engineering lies in details, and solid engineering is usually a unique design, not a modified body of late 70ies or 80ies. Not impressed, sorry to sound sour grapes here... Does anyone know is US working on any serious size helicopters that would have landing gears?( well, besides x2` scale demonstartor`).
