Model of Project "T" by Robert Bartini from USSR-Russian Aviation and Space Collectibles.

14.5 inches wing span hand made model of Robert Bartini project `T` model of transport ekranoplane. Picture of original model can be noticed in Sergei Komissarov`s book `Russia`s Ekranoplanes`. Model present unique project of famous WIG designer Robert Bartini after the commencement of testing of the VVA-14. Project T was created on the basis of research associated with developing an aerodynamic layout of a future sea-going ekranoplane.

Model of Bartini A-57 seaplane bomber.

Description:
15.5" length resin model of one of most exotic 1957 projects of Robert Bartini. The design combined two ideas: a strategic flying boat and a carrier for heavy stand-off missiles. The A-57 was to be a flying boat weighting 705,280 lb (320,000 kg) with a maximum speed of 1,350 knots (2500 km/h)(subsonic speed with RSS missile) and a range 14000 km.As far as aerodynamic configuration was concerned, the A-57 was flying wing with a surface area 8 128 square feet, a length 228 ft and wing span 57 ft 5 inches.Power system considered of five Kuznetsov NK-10B engines. The engines were arranged in a common compartment between the tailfins in the rear part of fuselage. A wealth of equipment consisted of an SVR-1 radar, Roza and Venik active jamming systems, TRS-45 passive jamming unit, Veter navigation system, as well as Okhotsk hydroacoustic system for communication and identification of the submarine tanker. Basic armament of the A-57 was to be the RSS missile installed on the top of the rear part of the airframe, as well as the RDS-6 nuclear bomb, carried inside the bomb bay.And one more feature of this aircraft planned as reconnaissance version R-57 (same configuration, but featuring different equipment
