Not as a bomber, obviously, for well known reasons. Rather, as an experimental aircraft. Wouldn't be too much of stretch...

- J93 and GE4 were related

- it was proposed to remove two J93 to make room for a single GE4


On a strict thrust basis, it would only need THREE GE4 with reheat, or four non-afterburning ones.


I think non-after burning GE4s make more sense. Could it supercruise ? It would save enormous amounts of fuel, trading 6-AB for 4-non-AB turbojets... also some internal space.


Reminds me of Concorde-B no longer needing afterburners on its upgraded Olympus engines.
