The RN were offered and considered the Vickers 4" and were unimpressed from a technical perspective, the file still exists at Kew.I do have some sympathy with the notion that the 3"/70 should have been installed more widely. A Leander with that weapon and Sea Cat would have been a considerably more potent opponent to air attack than the ships actually built.
