American Advanced Jet Trainer Competition (VT-AT X) of 1960/61

Hi,

in the book; American Secret Projects 3: U. S. Airlifters Since 1962,they mentioned
that there was a Douglas proposal,maybe submitted to a contest for Advanced Jet
Trainer,and I am asking,was there any unknown contender by that time and if there
was anther competitors ?, (page 16).

The Douglas concept was D-912,and I don't know if they meant the Project was
submitted to OS-141 or anther one ?!,maybe no tender and it was just an
private venture.

If you disagree with this suggesting,may it was intended to compete
Northrop T-38 ?.
