The article:
http://news.theage.com.au/amd-building-catamarans-for-chinas-navy/20080201-1pgi.html
The Product page from AMD:
http://www.amd.com.au/designs/amd350pb.php
The general arrangement drawing, which differs significantly with photographs of the Type 022:

Keep in mind that this article was first published on February 1, 2008 and is hardly sensational, with absolutely no allegations of illegality or misconduct. Apparently, this cooperation was entirely legal under Australian law, and there are no political ramifications to the content of the story, which is not defamatory in any sense of the word.
It is also worth noting that a post with the same links was apparently deleted from the Sinodefence forum. Within the narrow context of this forum, the AMD350PB is an unbuilt design and any relationship with the Type 022, is solely a matter of naval design, not geopolitical debate.
