If Jane's misunderstood the USN saying "90 attack submarines" as only including nuclear boats when the USN was getting 87 SSNs plus 3 good SSKs (Barbel class) to make 90, it works.But yes, ever since the USN started decomissioning the 637s, the total fleet numbers really took a dive.
