Independently from Burnelli, the german Alfons Pietsch designed a
rocket powered flying wing in 1932, although the purpose for which it
could have been used isn't quite clear. Due to its rocket engine, range
would have been very short. Later wings and a tailplane carried by twin
booms were added, giving the design the typical "Burnelli look"
