I have a two part question regarding the flight deck markings of aicraft carriers in the US Navy.1.- When did the WW2 style markings (a few yellow/white arounf the edges, in the centerline and msybe the elevators) give way to the current style markings with the white "ladder" type markings around the landing area, red/yellowlines around the elevators, etc? I figure it was between Korea and Vietnam but so far I haven't found a date.2,- What navy specification defines the current markings? I think it is "SERVICE BULLETIN NO. 8, REVISION P, VISUAL LANDING AIDS (VLA) FOR FLIGHT OPERATIONS ON CV AND CVN AIRCRAFT CARRIERS", but I haven't loobtained a copy (i've searched on the internet and at the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola but no luck). Thanks,
