Question regarding Super Carrier hanger subdivision. The Nimitz Class has two sets of armored door to divide the hanger into three spaces in the event of a mass configuration. The Ford Class has only one set of doors. Was it a top weight issue? What is the configuration on the QE & PoW? Does anyone know why these design choices were made?
