Mission success doesn’t start with the mission itself. It starts here. We are engaged. To prepare you for combat, search for the missing, deliver aircraft in top shape. To save lives.
The U.S. Air Force has contracted Tactical Air Support Inc. to provide adversary-air support at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, enhancing fighter training capabilities for the 388th Fighter Wing. This move aims to optimize F-35 pilot training.
Tactical Air Inc. will deploy 4-6 F-5 Advanced Tiger fighters and up to 30 personnel to Hill AFB. This arrangement is designed to free up Air Force resources, enabling F-35 operations and maintenance teams to focus on training against peer-level threats.
With the drawdown of F-15 pilot training at Kingsley Field in Oregon, the TAC adversarial contract was not renewed. This video shows a little ground operations for TAC's F-5s. Note the '00' orange and black tiger striped F-5 in the video. It was the same aircraft involved in a gear up landing recently at Hill AFB, Utah.
