A question about Northrop design ?

Hi,

I found this DTIC report and they wrote that,Project 698 BT,
is that meaning the Northrop P.698 or not ?.

No, hesham. The "P-" series was only created for the F-17/F-18 line, with P-500 being the first. Someone recently explained on this forum that the designation came from the fact that it was the project that the team discussed at 5:00 PM after work!

However, you have probably discovered here what the "698" slot was used for in the Weapon Systems nomenclature...
