Well yes - STRAT-X was concerned with what the successors to Minuteman and Poseidon would look like. The idea of 'Trident' didn't exist yet, and the study's concept of a future SSBN differed from the OHIO class in every respect other than the range and number of missiles. But it is where the idea of an SSBN designed as a dedicated carrier of long-range missiles came from.
