A new flying site for the World Spacemodeling Championships has been anounced: Apache Pass, Texas. It is 35 miles east of Austin.

The competition field for the World Championships will be located at the Apache Pass Event Center Airport, west-northwest of Rockdale, TX. The range and recovery area will cover approximately 500 acres (200 hectares). GPS coordinates for the field are 30°40’49.8″N 97°08’33.4″W (30.680505, -97.142596). A general range diagram is forthcoming.
