RCA is now part of Lockheed Martin and is the AEGIS contractor to the US Navy. So they proposed a range of scaled SPY-1 solutions for smaller ships as replacements for the legacy combat systems. One can note the family resemblance between the SPY-1 FFG and the SPY-1F Nansen class and the SPY-1 DDG and the SPY-1D Arleigh Burke class.
