MAK-10 was made by a russian aviator designer who moved to France. This plane have many designideas influenced by typical typical russian designs of the earlyer times. But had a very unique style anyway. It doesnt have a very wide body, rather a bit thin one vs. the length. That gave some "buckles" on the front body, to make space for the French V-12 engine. It was also a open one seater, but had also space for one more further back, hided under a deckel. It also had some nice colors in design, Main was red, and rest was aluminium/ stainless steel. A beautiful long thinner design on all.
The most special here , was its telescopic wing ends, as a variable-geometry research aircraft, who changed the planes wingspan from 13m to 21m .
here, pictures of my RC model, approx 1200mm long, and 950mm wingspan not extended wings, and extended 1750mm wide.
the wingextension is done by rack & pinion system, using small medicinal gear motors in each wing side.
