Sorry for the necro-posting, but this forum hasn't gotten attention in a while.

That's a really nice render. I've noticed that has no horizontal stabilizers. Are the elevators placed between the widely-spaced engines for pitch control instead?

Very nice work and effort!!!!

One thing that comes to mind, is regardless of technology and aerodynamics, the Soviets have never been to phased about carrying their payload externally - regardless of drag and the issue of RCS!
Its just a case of larger and more powerful engines.........
