Hi,

Colonel Émile Dorand was associated with Aviation before twenty Century,he built a kite plane in 1908,followed by anther giant triplane kite in 1908,and in 1909 he began to work on a military aeroplane and in 1910 he built a biplane-laboratoire and in 1912 he designed anther biplane,called Fortress biplane,and in 1913 he created the Do.1,a two-seat armored recce aircraft,powered by one 85 hp Anzani engine.

Also in 1913 he designed a twin engine armored interceptor proceeded with AR.1 and AR.2,
they were a two-seat recce biplane aircraft,and in 1915 he developed a huge triplane twin
boom heavy bomber Project with Bugatti called BU,and during the war he drew a biplane flying
boat Project,with an engine buried within the fuselage driving two pusher propellers.
